The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients on the unit and for the day-to-day management and supervision of related clinical activities. This role involves gathering data, assessing and reassessing all populations served, and completing primary assessments of all newly admitted and transferred patients. The nurse will supervise ancillary support in the process of basic nursing functions, act as a preceptor when needed, and provide education to patients and families from admission to discharge. Additionally, the nurse must demonstrate proficient technical skills and operational knowledge on all equipment used on the unit.
