About the position

The RN Weekend Supervisor at Park Place Healthcare and Rehab is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents and supervising the daily activities of nursing assistants. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining high-quality care standards. The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage nursing staff and coordinate resident care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants according to industry regulations.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures by nursing personnel.
• Plan and coordinate services, programs, and activities for the shift.
• Participate in the development and implementation of the nursing department's quality assurance program.
• Complete necessary documentation for resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform physical assessments and monitor residents' conditions.
• Consult with physicians regarding resident care and treatment plans.
• Attend in-service education programs to meet facility requirements.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with a current state license.
• 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in geriatrics or wound care.
• Infection Control Certification and CPR Certification.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in long-term care facilities.
• Knowledge of nursing policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic health records.
