About the position

The RN, Women's Services position at Valley View Medical Center involves providing direct patient care to women during labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn stages. The role emphasizes the nursing process, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with established standards and practices. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care given and monitors patient conditions.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living such as personal hygiene and nutrition.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care and support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and provides appropriate education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing required.
• Graduate of a nursing program required.
• Basic Fetal Monitoring certification within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification at time of hire.
• Registered Nurse license in Arizona or compact/multi-state licensure accepted.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• STABLE certification preferred.
