About The Position

The RN Wound Care Nurse at The Grove at Valhalla Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is responsible for providing specialized wound care to residents, ensuring accurate documentation and treatment of wounds, and collaborating with medical staff to assess and manage patient care effectively. This role is essential in maintaining the health and well-being of residents through comprehensive wound management and patient evaluations.

Requirements

• Current and valid RN (Registered Nurse) license.
• Active CPR Certificate.
• Point Click a Plus Wound care certification desired.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience in LTC preferred but not required.
• Positive attitude and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of wounds in the nurse's notes at least weekly.
• Responsible for all treatments required by licensed nurse on your shift and ensuring the wound care treatments are carried out at other times.
• Evaluate high risk patients for pressure reduction interventions methods.
• Conduct body assessments and documentation on all new admissions per policy.
• Round with doctors weekly to assist with assessing residents.
