At HonorHealth, we are committed to creating a multi-dimensional care experience for our patients, and as a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a crucial role in this mission. Your practice will be guided by the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards for Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics, ensuring that you provide the highest quality of care. You will be responsible for recording patients' medical histories and symptoms, performing diagnostic tests, analyzing results, operating medical equipment, administering treatments and medications, and assisting with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. As an RN, you will establish care plans or contribute to existing ones, which may include administering medications, starting and maintaining intravenous (IV) lines, observing patients, and consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals. You will also educate patients and their families on managing illnesses or injuries, explaining post-treatment care, dietary needs, and self-administration of medications. Your role will involve providing direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides, as well as precepting new staff and students, ensuring they complete their competency skills. In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you will be expected to enhance your knowledge in nursing management and patient care. You will work to improve patient experiences and clinical outcomes while promoting a healthy work environment. Your practice will be evidence-based, utilizing a Shared Governance model for decision-making. You will also be required to have knowledge of stroke symptoms, protocols for managing stroke patients, and the necessary educational resources available for patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include collecting health data systematically, analyzing assessment data to determine diagnoses, and developing individualized care plans that reflect current nursing practices. You will implement interventions, initiate treatments, and provide nursing care that meets the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social-cultural needs of patients and their families. Continuous evaluation of patient progress and the effectiveness of care plans will be essential to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery. You will also engage in professional development, collaborating with peers and other healthcare providers to foster an environment of quality practice and evidence-based care.
