The RN WW3 Renal position at Erlanger Health System is a full-time role focused on providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in a renal unit. Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care as assigned and supervise other qualified staff.
  • Address physical, spiritual, emotional, and educational needs of patients.
  • Coordinate the plan of care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in and complete all patient safety initiatives appropriate to the position.
  • Utilize hand-off communication and bedside shift report for effective communication.
  • Maintain a safe therapeutic environment by complying with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Perform and document comprehensive and holistic assessments.
  • Anticipate potential emergency situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Develop relationships with patients and families to facilitate care planning.
  • Document care accurately and concisely, adhering to legal requirements.
  • Provide culturally competent care to patients and families.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to support patient care needs.

Requirements

  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in area of practice.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in the delivery of patient care in a similar care setting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a renal care setting.
  • Advanced certifications such as ACLS.
