About The Position

As a Registered Nurse at Baylor Scott & White Health, you will oversee patient care in a Med/Surg setting, focusing primarily on stroke and chest pain patients. Requirements

• 2 years of Med/Surg experience required.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current and valid nursing license.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting.

• Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments of patients.

• Adjust care plans based on patient responses and desired outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and community members on healthcare choices.
• Document learning needs and patient progress regularly.
• Delegate tasks to team members and follow up on their completion.
• Utilize problem-solving strategies to address patient and family concerns.
• Recognize limitations and prioritize safety and effectiveness in care delivery.
• Contribute to the development of peers and demonstrate community service commitment.
