About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry position at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center® involves providing exceptional nursing care to cardiac telemetry step down patients. The role emphasizes the importance of building meaningful relationships with patients and their families while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes. The RN will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and managing the overall care of patients with various cardiac conditions.

Requirements

• Passion for Cardiology
• 1+ years of experience in Telemetry preferred
• Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and administer medication to cardiac telemetry step down patients.
• Document patient progress and manage overall care for patients with conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team, including attending physicians and ancillary staff, to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for patients and build meaningful relationships with them and their loved ones through safety interventions, emotional support, and education.
