About the position
The RN position at Friends Health Care Association involves providing nursing care under the supervision of the Head Nurse. The role requires proficiency in the nursing process, including patient assessment, care plan development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The RN will work collaboratively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure effective care delivery.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and document comprehensive nursing history from patients and/or significant others.
- Perform basic patient assessments and record vital signs, noting any changes.
- Develop and review nursing care plans based on assessment information.
- Implement care plans to provide safe and therapeutic care to patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Identify patient teaching needs and provide basic instructions to patients and families.
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing care and participate in the evaluation of care for groups of patients.
- Support nursing care standards by adhering to policies and procedures and supervising nonprofessional personnel.
Requirements
- Current RN license to practice nursing in the state.
- Minimum of six months' recent experience as a professional nurse.
- Demonstrated proficiency in at least 50% of the skills required for Level II nursing.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
- Experience in developing care plans.
