About the position

The Road Logistics Operations Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel is responsible for managing customer inquiries related to shipments, products, and complaints. This role involves processing bookings, securing transportation, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining communication with customers. The position is integral to the smooth operation of the logistics process within the company.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process bookings through email or direct integration with our TMS.
• Secure trucks from carrier partners and web-based load boards.
• Confirm bookings with shippers and consignees.
• Arrange necessary appointments for pick-up and delivery.
• Follow up to ensure shipments adhere to schedules.
• Capture transportation-related KPIs for each customer.
• Communicate with customers via phone or email.

Requirements

• 3+ years experience in the logistics industry.
• 1+ years experience in the BioPharma Industry and/or in a temperature controlled warehousing environment.
• Proficient at managing multiple tasks and prioritizing based on urgency.
