Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of large trucks and heavy equipment on construction and maintenance projects.
- Drive sanding and plowing equipment during hazardous road conditions.
- Perform vehicle and equipment safety checks and minor maintenance on vehicles.
- Engage in manual labor tasks such as shoveling, raking asphalt, and pothole patching.
- Conduct fencing, ditch work, culvert cleaning, and brush clearing activities.
- Use and maintain construction hand tools for cutting concrete, steel, and timbers.
- Assist in mowing and grounds maintenance as required.
Requirements
- High school graduation or GED is required.
- Three years of experience driving or operating large trucks and heavy equipment on construction or maintenance projects is required.
- A Class A, Type 1 commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements is required.
- Current DOT medical certification is required.
