Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of large trucks and heavy equipment on construction and maintenance projects.
  • Drive sanding and plowing equipment during hazardous road conditions.
  • Perform vehicle and equipment safety checks and minor maintenance on vehicles.
  • Engage in manual labor tasks such as shoveling, raking asphalt, and pothole patching.
  • Conduct fencing, ditch work, culvert cleaning, and brush clearing activities.
  • Use and maintain construction hand tools for cutting concrete, steel, and timbers.
  • Assist in mowing and grounds maintenance as required.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED is required.
  • Three years of experience driving or operating large trucks and heavy equipment on construction or maintenance projects is required.
  • A Class A, Type 1 commercial driver's license with air brake and tanker endorsements is required.
  • Current DOT medical certification is required.
