About the position

AutoBase Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Road Ranger to join their Safety Service Patrol team in Greenacres, Florida. The role involves patrolling designated highway routes, assisting disabled motorists, and ensuring the safety of roadways while supporting local emergency services. The position requires adherence to safety regulations and involves physical tasks related to roadside assistance.

Responsibilities

• Patrol a designated highway route in a company truck.
• Assist disabled motorists and maintain the flow of traffic.
• Support local and state Police, Fire, or Emergency Service Units for scene safety.
• Provide Traffic Incident Management services.
• Monitor the safety of roadways and assist with disabled/abandoned vehicles, lane-closures, and debris in the roadway.
• Use provided tools and equipment for roadside assistance, including changing tires and jump-starting batteries.
• Work closely with and assist other first responders with incident management.
• Maintain an online system for reporting incidents.
• Coordinate with Traffic Management Centers to follow directives.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Automotive mechanical knowledge or 2+ years of experience in a similar field.
• 3+ years of driving experience with a demonstrated safe driving record.
• Ability to perform physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 60lbs.
• Knowledge of vehicle operations and safety guidelines.
