About the position
GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Project Manager with over 10 years of experience in Transportation and Roadway Design Management. The role involves technical execution and oversight of engineering projects, project management, and mentorship of junior staff. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with options for remote or hybrid work. The position requires strong client relationships, particularly with ODOT and municipalities in Ohio, and offers a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Technical execution and oversight of engineering projects.
- Participation in project pursuits and management of technical projects.
- Mentorship and development of junior staff.
- Planning and managing projects with a wide range of value.
- Delivering scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability of all projects managed.
- Assembling and leading the project team to execute project goals.
- Monitoring and controlling project costs and billings with Accounting staff.
- Leading business development pursuits as a company representative.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of total engineering or technical experience.
- At least 2 years serving as a Task or Project Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or applicable technical discipline.
- Relevant professional licensure or certification in applicable technical discipline (e.g., PE).
- Demonstrated working knowledge of project management skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Advanced technical degree preferred.
- Experience with Deltek for Professional Services as a Project Management / ERP Platform.
