About the position

Cumbey & Fair, Inc. is looking for an experienced Roadway CAD Designer to contribute to FDOT and municipal projects. The role involves developing geometric alignments, profiles, surface modeling, and other design elements essential for roadway engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and work on preliminary engineering and final design for FDOT and municipal projects.
• Create geometric alignments and profiles for roadway designs.
• Perform surface modeling and cross-section development.
• Design grading and drainage systems for projects.
• Implement traffic control and erosion control measures in designs.
• Prepare construction details, signing, and pavement markings.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient in civil design programs such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads.
• 5 years of design experience with a civil engineering firm.
• Detail-oriented with a professional attitude.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
