About the position

KPFF Consulting Engineers has been an industry leader in Civil and Structural engineering for over 60 years, collaborating with public agencies, architects, developers, and contractors. The Washington Division, located in Downtown Seattle, is seeking a Roadway/Civil Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in designing civil engineering projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse array of projects in a team environment, allowing for collaboration with multidiscipline teams while developing project management capabilities. The role involves engaging with clients and contributing to the growth of the business in Washington State. As a Roadway/Civil Engineer, you will be involved in stimulating and challenging multi-disciplinary projects, from planning through design and construction. KPFF is passionate about developing great engineers and project managers, providing a variety of opportunities and experiences, along with informal mentoring. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidiscipline teams on civil engineering projects.
  • Develop project management capabilities.
  • Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Work on multi-disciplinary projects from planning through design and construction.
  • Contribute to building the business in Washington State.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with civil engineering projects (site development and/or transportation).
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification or Professional Engineering (PE) Registration.
  • Working proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Bonus points for experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads (InRoads, GEOPAK).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Passionate about providing exceptional client service.
