About the position

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager with over 15 years of experience in Transportation and Roadway Design Management to join their Jacksonville, FL office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and client relationships, particularly with FDOT and local municipalities in Northeast Florida. This role involves significant project management and business development responsibilities, focusing on delivering high-value projects while building client relationships and leading project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability for all projects or portfolios.
• Plan and manage high-value projects with complex risk profiles.
• Directly manage over $3 million in annual billings and portfolios of higher value.
• Develop project schedules, cost budgets, and analyze financial data.
• Monitor and control project costs and billings to meet budget profit.
• Understand project goals, drivers, strategies, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead business development efforts and serve as a primary seller/doer for clients.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and provide oversight for significant projects.
• Assemble and lead large project teams across multiple locations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of total engineering or technical experience.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in an engineering consulting organization.
• Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or applicable technical discipline required.
• Advanced technical degree or MBA preferred.
• Current valid state-issued driver's license and relevant professional license required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
