About the position

Chef Robotics is on a mission to accelerate the advent of intelligent machines in the physical world. As the rise of LLMs like ChatGPT has shown, AI has the potential to drive immense change. Responsibilities

  • Document and contextualize field-reported robot issues to support thorough investigation and resolution efforts.
  • Provide clear and timely communication of known robot issues, along with troubleshooting best practices, to in-field teams, including Customer Support and Applications Engineering.
  • Conduct first-level remote troubleshooting for issues reported directly by customers, ensuring prompt support and issue mitigation.
  • Support Customer Support and Applications Engineering teams by performing first-level remote troubleshooting to assist in resolving reported issues effectively.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar technical or operational role.
  • Experience troubleshooting physical systems, such as mechanical, electrical, or IT infrastructure.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to meticulously follow technical instructions and procedures.
  • Excellent ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Flexible availability to support customer needs, including weekends, evenings, and on-call shifts as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a robotics company
  • Familiarity with robotics visualization programs (RViz, Foxglove)
  • Experience developing Decision Trees and/or Standard Operating Procedures
  • Exposure to ROS (Robot Operating System)
  • Exposure to software development concepts, and programming languages (C++ and Python)
  • Experience with basic hardware design, fabrication techniques, and mechanics of materials
