About the position

The Robotic Applications Engineer at ABB plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales organization and customers by adapting ABB's products to meet specific application requirements. This position involves selecting optimized products, preparing documentation, and serving as a technical resource while identifying new business opportunities through proactive networking. The role is remote and contributes to the Robotics & Discrete Automation division, focusing on customer needs and effective communication of ABB's solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB's products to meet their requirements.
• Select optimized products and technology for adaptation to customer applications.
• Prepare relevant documentation and serve as a key technical resource for the assigned area.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
• Develop and implement solutions, product packages, and software applications with the team.
• Understand customer needs and effectively communicate how ABB's solutions can address those needs.
• Coordinate product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value of ABB's solutions.
• Support in preparing sales proposals and negotiating contracts to secure new business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering strongly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Engineering, Automation, or Robotics solutions.
• Strong communication skills to listen effectively and translate needs into tangible products.
• Ability to present solutions to customers and internal sales groups.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Robotic Arcwelding.
