About the position

The Robotic Field Service Engineer at FANUC America Corporation is responsible for providing onsite repair, troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance services for FANUC robots and related equipment. This role involves significant travel within the designated region to address customer needs and ensure operational efficiency of robotic systems. The engineer will work from service centers or a remote home office, coordinating activities and providing support between scheduled service calls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FANUC Robots and controllers, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Discuss, diagnose, document, and repair robot operational and process problems as reported by the customer or internal service hotline.
• Provide daily reports to the Service Supervisor to update status and availability.
• Complete and provide a Field Service report for each assignment to the customer and FANUC Headquarters.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent technical education, or relevant experience preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience working in robotics, automation, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver's license.
• Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation.
• Knowledge of FANUC robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment preferred.
• Experience with FANUC application software and programming preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in various industrial environments.
