About the position

The Robotic Field Service Engineer at FANUC America Corporation is responsible for providing onsite repair, troubleshooting, programming, and maintenance services for FANUC robots and related peripheral equipment. This role involves coordinating activities from a service center or remote home office, offering hotline support, and traveling to customer sites as needed to ensure optimal robot performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain FANUC Robots and controllers, electrical control devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Discuss, diagnose, document, and repair robot operational and process problems as reported by the customer or internal service hotline.
• Provide daily reports to the Service Supervisor to update status and availability.
• Complete and provide a Field Service report for each assignment to the customer and FANUC Headquarters.
• Willingness to travel on a scheduled or moment's notice, on average 3-4 nights weekly to customer sites.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree in a related technical field, or equivalent technical education, or relevant experience, preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience working in robotics, automation, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid driver's license.
• Mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and related technical documentation.
• Knowledge of FANUC robots, controllers, and peripheral equipment preferred.
• Experience with FANUC application software and programming preferred.
