About the position

The Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Business Analyst at Thompson Gray Inc. plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and RPA solutions. This position involves designing and implementing innovative RPA solutions to automate manual processes, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that RPA projects meet the requirements of the organization and its clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end RPA and workflow automation process including documentation, design, build, test, deploy, and maintain using best practices.
  • Collaborate with agencies, military personnel, civilians, and contractors regarding RPA interests and projects.
  • Work with stakeholders and internal teams to design and deliver automated solutions.
  • Ensure thorough and complete requirements by collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned RPA customers, liaising between them and RPA developers.
  • Support RPA customers by providing expertise and insights as needed.
  • Conduct site visits to RPA customers or potential customers.
  • Brief potential RPA customers on RPA capabilities as needed.
  • Capture keystroke level details from customers/process owners during automation development.
  • Present project statuses and RPA requests to clients, project managers, and governance boards as needed.
  • Develop RPA tools, documentation, presentations, videos, and promotional materials.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate capture of customer development requirements for automation projects.
  • Familiarize with RPA software to enhance knowledge and inform customers about bot capabilities.
  • Support the governance of the RPA process.
  • Develop and track metrics and financial projections for each automation.
  • Facilitate email communications between clients.

Requirements

  • 1 - 5 years of analysis, business process improvement, or consulting experience, preferably for automation projects and DoD clients.
  • UiPath and Microsoft Power Platform certification(s).
  • Experience in crafting detailed Process Definition Documentation (PDDs), process/keystroke mappings, training briefs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) specific to building RPA.
  • Experience working in fully-remote settings with excellent communication skills and virtual project management tools.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen able to attain a Secret-level clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Translating business and technical requirements into analytic and automation solutions.
  • Experience designing RPA solutions using UiPath or Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Business process analysis and reengineering experience for automation.
  • Experience with Army clients and knowledge of Army financial systems, data, and processes.
  • Experience with business intelligence environments and data analytic platforms (Tableau, Qlik).
