About the position

Actalent is currently seeking skilled Controls & Robotics Engineers to join our team in the Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for the electrical design and development of automated equipment tailored to meet both customer and internal specifications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that designs are not only functional but also robust and cost-effective, contributing to the overall success of our engineering projects. As a Controls Engineer, you will engage in PLC programming and work with automated equipment hardware and software. Your expertise in project engineering and management will be essential as you navigate the complexities of each project, ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to while maintaining high standards of quality and performance. This position requires a strong attention to detail, as well as excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Problem-solving capabilities will be vital as you encounter challenges in the design and implementation phases of projects. You will be working in a fully on-site environment located in Overland Park, KS, which includes both an engineering office and a machining environment, allowing for hands-on involvement in the development process.
