About the position

The Deployment Engineer at Contoro Robotics will lead pilot programs at customer sites, focusing on deploying innovative robotic solutions for warehouse operations. This role involves direct interaction with customers to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring successful implementation and operation of robotic technology. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues and providing training to customers on the use of the robots.

Responsibilities

• Deploy the robots at customer sites and support/train them on how to use the robots.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues.
• Communicate with warehouse customers to understand their demands and pain points while using the technology.
• Deliver and document customer feedback to the Contoro team regarding product issues, complaints, or improvements.
• Coordinate schedules in alignment with customer expectations.
• Adapt roles and responsibilities as the company grows and changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge in electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
• Enjoy traveling across the nation about 50% of the workdays.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and basic programming skills (Python, C++).
• Demonstrated history of effective leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication skills or experience in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Analytical thinking process.
• Willingness to work on hands-on tasks.
• Willingness to learn the technology and the business and grow with the company.
• Comfortable driving large vehicles.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS).
• Willingness to learn how to drive a forklift.
• Warehouse experience.
• Spanish bilingual.
