About the position

The Robotics Engineer will lead the development and deployment of autonomous marine robots designed for cleaning and inspecting ships. This role focuses on leveraging robotics, automation, and sensor technologies to address real-world challenges in the marine industry, contributing to a more efficient, sustainable, and safe shipping process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and deployment of marine robots for cleaning and inspection tasks.
  • Design and implement robotic systems that utilize navigation, sensing, and actuation technologies.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve complex engineering problems in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Utilize control systems, computer vision, and AI to enhance the functionality of autonomous robots.
  • Conduct testing and validation of robotic systems in marine environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in robotics development, preferably in marine, underwater, or harsh environments.
  • Strong knowledge of robotic systems, including navigation, sensing, and actuation.
  • Experience with control systems, computer vision, or AI for autonomous robots.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools, MATLAB, Simulink, or other simulation software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of marine technologies and materials, including corrosion and biofouling.
