About the position

The Robotics Engineer position involves working on a robotic manipulation platform designed for AI-based controls. The role focuses on implementing and evaluating robotics algorithms on a robot hand platform, collaborating with a small team of engineers and researchers to tackle complex dexterous manipulation tasks. This position offers the opportunity to work with innovative algorithms and hardware, contributing to cutting-edge advancements in robotics.

Responsibilities

• Implement, debug and evaluate existing robotics algorithms on the robot hand platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop the robot platform for products and services.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and interns.
• Willing to take up other tasks in the startup as needed.

Requirements

• Understanding of robotics algorithms and how to use them (e.g., forward kinematics).
• Experience with implementing algorithms in simulations and then applying them in hardware.
• Proficient skills in writing software, especially in C++ and Python.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with optimal control and model predictive control.
• Ability to implement machine learning algorithms.
