Robotics Engineer

About the position

The contracted on-site Field Service Engineering role provides early stage Manipulation workcells with the onsite engineering resources required for the on-going development of the early phase, i.e. Alpha and Beta, work cells. These are skilled engineers who have been trained to run the systems with minimal safety systems deployed. There are three general types of support: Technical Support Engineer, Systems Engineer, and Field Technician.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain robotic work cells in a manufacturing or fulfillment center environment.
• Collaborate with remote hardware and software teams to implement changes.
• Run tests to capture data and facilitate continuous improvement.
• Determine root causes of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical problems.

Requirements

• Mechanical or electrical engineering background.
• Familiarity with robotic work cells and manufacturing environments.
• Experience with hardware and pneumatic systems for Field Support Engineer role.
• Experience with software and operational controls for Field Support Systems Engineer role.
• Hands-on skills for Field Technician role.
