About the position

As a Robotics Engineer at Sentry Equipment, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electrical control systems for robotic applications. This role requires a strong understanding of robotics, control systems, and electrical engineering principles, along with hands-on experience in industrial automation. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure high-quality and innovative solutions in the integration of packaging equipment and conveying systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for new and existing robotic applications.
• Create detailed electrical sensor layouts for each application.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices using Rockwell software.
• Program robots (Fanuc) for each application.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing robotic systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and performance.
• Conduct testing and validation of control systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Robotics or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Three (3) or more years' experience in a similar or related role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing electrical control systems and Fanuc robotic applications.
• Proficiency in programming PLCs (Primarily Allen-Bradley, etc.) and HMIs.
• Proficiency in programming robots (Primarily Fanuc).
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
• Familiarity with industrial automation and control systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
