As a Robotics Engineer at Magna, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise for robotic applications, ensuring product quality and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting robotic systems, performing preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime, and prioritizing safety in all operations. You will also be tasked with training and providing technical support to Production and Skilled Trade Team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle the equipment and methodologies involved in robotic operations. In this role, you will train all in-house skilled trades on a variety of equipment, preventive maintenance procedures, and methodologies. You will ensure that operator safety devices function properly while programming complex robotic systems. Additionally, you will perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components, evaluate the efficiency and reliability of industrial robotic systems, and reprogram or calibrate them to achieve maximum quantity and quality. Your expertise will also be required in performing electrical diagnosis, recommending repairs, and troubleshooting to identify root causes of equipment failures. It is essential that the production line adheres to the latest build standards, and you will ensure compliance in this area.
