About the position

The Robotics Field Service Engineer (FSE) position is a dynamic role that requires a blend of technical expertise and exceptional customer service skills. This position is primarily remote but involves extensive travel across the country to service and troubleshoot automation robots and related equipment at various customer sites, including pharmacies and healthcare facilities. The FSE will be responsible for maintaining ScriptPro's computer-based technology and automation equipment, ensuring that it operates efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our clients. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy traveling and are mechanically inclined, as it offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the healthcare sector. In this position, the FSE will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment both onsite and remotely. They will also provide training and support to pharmacy staff as needed, helping to optimize the performance of ScriptPro systems and resolve any workflow issues that may arise. The role requires a commitment to travel, with expectations of 80% or more travel, which includes both long-distance driving and air travel. The FSE will be expected to maintain a high level of responsiveness, being available via phone 24/7 during their scheduled shifts. The physical demands of this role are significant, requiring the ability to lift up to 55 lbs unassisted and up to 120 lbs with assistance. The FSE will also need to climb ladders, lift and stack servers, and mount various types of equipment, including large monitors. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential, as the FSE will typically work a rotating schedule of 9 days on followed by 5 days off, with overtime being a common occurrence. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment onsite at pharmacies and remotely by phone.
  • Administer training and support to pharmacy staff when needed.
  • Diagnose customer workflow issues and optimize ScriptPro system performance.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
  • Document service activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old or older.
  • Preferred BS in Electronics or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • General knowledge of IT, Windows NT/XP/7/8/10.
  • Experience with computer systems repair and a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be able to lift 70+ lbs. daily, including when traveling by auto or air.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Defense security clearance post-hire.
