About the position
The Robotics Operator at Amazon Prime Air is responsible for operating robotics via remote control, assisting in the development and testing of safety-related technologies. This role involves mission planning, lightweight maintenance duties, and conducting operation readiness activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a safety-oriented mindset, and a passion for cutting-edge technology, while also being part of a Research and Development team focused on innovative experiences.
Responsibilities
- Operate robotics via remote control for Amazon Prime Air.
- Assist in the development and testing of safety-related technologies.
- Conduct mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties.
- Perform limited operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.
Requirements
- 14 CFR Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate
- 2+ years of Remote Control pilot experience with excellent coordination and execution
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand/walk for 8-10 hours, and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
- Experience leading small teams
- Valid Driver's License and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with the commercial UAS industry
- Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar
- Current US fixed-wing or rotorcraft pilot's certificate
- Excellent communications and reporting skills
