About the position

The Robotics or Mechanical Engineer at Entegris will play a critical role in supporting operations by establishing automation for conventional machining equipment. This position involves defining processes and requirements for utilizing robotics and other automation equipment to enhance efficiency in the machine shop. The engineer will lead a team to collaborate with design and prototype teams, ensuring successful implementation of these systems into high-volume production environments.

Responsibilities

• Work with management to define efficiency goals for automation in the machine shop.
• Develop an action plan with metrics and dates to achieve defined goals.
• Create a pro-forma business case highlighting efficiencies and financial impacts of automation projects.
• Lead design discussions with integrators and internal teams for cell/system design.
• Coordinate installation and verification activities for new processes and equipment.
• Report monthly on progress, successes, issues, and obstacles compared to original targets and metrics.
• Lead the definition and implementation of a cross-functional team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years' experience in robotics or automation.
• Design and application knowledge of ergonomic and automation safety standards.
• Onsite installation, commissioning, and support experience.
• Strong project management, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Experience using Solidworks and Studio 5000.
• Experience in an ISO 9001/14000 environment is a plus.
• Ability to work on projects in a cross-functional manner.
• Ability to research, identify, and engage decision makers.
