About the position

The Robotics/Programming Coach for Kids at Cupertino Robotics Lab is responsible for leading engaging, hands-on robotics classes for children aged 6-13. This role involves teaching robotics and coding, assisting with marketing events, and managing competition team training. The position is designed for individuals passionate about STEM education and working with children, offering flexible hours primarily during weekday afternoons and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Instructing children in robotics and coding classes
• Assisting with marketing events and curriculum creation
• Communicating with parents about their children's progress
• Helping with daily operations of the lab
• Taking students to competitions
• Managing competition team training and executing training plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma
• 1 year of kids teaching experience (preferred)
• 1 year of VEX/LEGO Robotics experience (preferred)
• 1 year of Scratch/Scratch Jr experience (preferred)
• 1 year of Python experience (nice to have)
• Experience in STEM and working with children

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in robotics, coding, outreach, or at an after-school program
• Long-term availability for this position
