About the position

The Robotics Programming Engineer Intern at Oshkosh Corporation is responsible for assisting in the operation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting of welding robots and cobots, as well as C&C machines and lasers used in production. This role provides an opportunity for students pursuing degrees in engineering or related fields to gain hands-on experience in robotics and automation within a global company committed to innovation in the access market.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robots, train others, and observe robots in operation.
  • Oversee operation of the robot and troubleshoot and correct problems that may occur to the robot.
  • Provide technical support to the manufacturing group regarding manufacturing processes and tooling related to robot programming.
  • Assist with fixture design, development, and maintenance.
  • Design welding programming for robots to safely execute correct welds and improve operations.
  • Identify and coordinate projects involving robots, including new technology and installation of capital equipment.
  • Read blueprints and interpret symbols and assemblies, understanding failure analysis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Pursuing either an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, robotics, mechatronics, programming, or a related field.
