About the position

The Robotics Proposal Engineer at ABB plays a crucial role in supporting the Robotics & Discrete Automation division, specifically within the Metal Fabrication market. This position involves providing technical expertise during the proposal process, preparing technical documentation, determining costs, and ensuring customer inquiries are addressed effectively. The role emphasizes collaboration and aims to achieve budget goals and customer satisfaction metrics.

Responsibilities

• Offering technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB products/systems/applications.
• Performing analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries.
• Developing and maintaining new sales opportunities and resolving specific customer problems; ensuring achievement of targets on orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
• Ensuring the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 2 - 5 years of related experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments is accepted.
• Robotic welding automation experience highly preferred.
• Experience with Robot studio software, 3D Modeling, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word is highly preferred.
• Excellent math, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
