About the position

Amazon Robotics is seeking a Software Development Engineer to contribute to a new foundational system that integrates multiple custom robots into a cohesive solution for warehouse robotics. This role focuses on building and scaling robotic systems across the fulfillment network, requiring a passion for software development and expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS.

Responsibilities

• Work across teams to design and develop metrics and data infrastructure connecting robotic systems to the cloud
• Develop and test software changes on robotic equipment in the lab
• Develop queries, data visualizations, and tooling for accessing data generated by robotic systems
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to define feature requirements and see the impact of products in the field

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Expert level knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented language such as Java, C++, or C#

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience working on software which controls robots or other hardware like telecom and medical devices
