About the position

The Robotics Software Intern position at Komatsu offers an opportunity to work on developing core Robotics Automation & Autonomy software for underground mining applications. This internship, based in Warrendale, PA, is designed for students pursuing degrees in relevant fields, providing hands-on experience in software development for advanced robotic systems used in various industries.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of core Autonomy software stack for global products.
• Enhance skills in perception, mapping, and localization techniques in GPS denied environments.
• Work with robotic sensors such as lidars, radars, and cameras.
• Analyze real-world data to tune software and algorithms.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• Currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Robotics Systems Development, Robotics, Computer Vision, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• Proven strengths in robotics systems and software development.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and C.
