About the position

The Solutions Design Team at Amazon is seeking an innovative engineer to design next-generation Fulfillment Centers (FCs). This role focuses on creating high-performance physical systems and optimizing robotic material handling systems using cutting-edge technology and data analytics. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, project management abilities, and effective communication skills to influence decision-makers at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and create physical processing and material handling solutions using cutting edge technology and data analytics.
• Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics for program and feature selection.
• Coordinate with systems and operations engineering teams to develop product features and optimize FC performance.
• Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while effectively communicating with business partners, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop models to solve complex problems.

Requirements

• Completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical), Operations Research, or a related field.
• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, and technologies such as Tableau and SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with designs of complex automated material handling equipment and systems including high-speed manufacturing.
• Demonstrated analytical skills to solve complex engineering problems.
• Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
