About the position

The Robotics Systems Engineer at Amazon Robotics plays a crucial role in overseeing the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of robotic equipment in fulfillment centers. This position requires a blend of technical skills and teamwork to solve real-world challenges through innovative robotics and software solutions. The role involves collaboration with various teams and partners, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving during deployments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Amazon Robotics equipment.
• Collaborate with third-party installers and contracted engineers during deployments.
• Provide technical oversight and support to an on-site project manager.
• Develop process documentation and modify existing processes for new products.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance business performance and sustainability.

Requirements

• Enrolled in or have completed a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Existing knowledge of basic operations of robotics and networked mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week minimum and commit to a 12-week internship maximum.
• Valid US driver's license required.

Nice-to-haves

• Enrolled in or have completed a Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate.
• Experience with programming or scripting languages like Python, Java, C, or C++.
• Familiarity with open-source technologies like Linux, Spring, or React.
• Experience with distributed computing, programs, and systems.
• Experience with automating and simplifying team development, test, and operations processes.
