About the position

OffWorld is seeking a talented and motivated Robotics Test & Integration Engineer to join a fast-moving team focused on creating advanced robotic and space systems. The role involves developing and executing testing and integration activities for robotic platforms, ensuring that testing, integration, and overall development goals are met to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for robotics system components.
• Coordinate and execute testing activities, including functional, regression, performance, and stress testing.
• Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Analyze test results and prepare comprehensive test reports, documenting defects and areas of improvement.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and resolve issues.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in robotics testing methodologies and propose innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, robotics, or software/electrical/mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of engineering experience in mobile and/or manipulator robotics or similar.
• 2+ years of hands-on testing of mobile and/or manipulator robots.
• Strong knowledge of robotic systems, sensors, perception, and control algorithms.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Java.
• Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System) or similar robotics middleware.
• Experience with robotics simulation environments, such as ROS Gazebo.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, git, docker, and Linux command-line operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with scenario-based regression testing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
