About the position

The Georgia Appalachian Trail Club (GATC) is hosting a free workshop aimed at improving trail maintenance skills, specifically focusing on the installation of rock steps on the Appalachian Trail. This workshop is open to both new volunteers and experienced trail maintainers, providing an opportunity to learn from knowledgeable instructors.

Responsibilities

• Learn proper installation techniques for rock steps on the trail.
• Participate in hands-on training and demonstrations.
• Engage with experienced trail maintainers and instructors.

Requirements

• No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
• Interest in trail maintenance and volunteer work.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of the Introduction to Rock Work Workshop is recommended but not required.
