About the position

The Yard Associate at Davis Ace Hardware is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while assisting with the loading and unloading of bulk goods, managing customer deliveries, and maintaining store areas. Responsibilities

• Provide world-class customer service to all customers.
• Handle and load bulk goods such as lumber and cement into customers' vehicles.
• Manage customer deliveries and pick-up orders.
• Use scales for measuring bulk products and assist with pricing and stocking.
• Drive various vehicles including forklift, loader, pick-up, box van, and dump truck.
• Merchandise products and maintain specific areas of the store.
• Support the store management team in daily operations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old to drive a forklift.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience in trade skills and a personality that aligns with the company's core values.
• Commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction is essential.
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in operating forklifts, skip-loaders, and power saws.
• Ability to lift 100+ pounds frequently and carry 50 pounds.
• Experience in customer service roles.
