About the position

The Rogue Disposal Transfer Station Spotter/General Laborer position is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment at the transfer station. This position serves as the first point of contact for trucks entering the site, directing traffic and ensuring operational efficiency while performing various utility tasks. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Directing traffic for trucks entering the transfer station site.
• Maintaining yard and facility cleanliness, including debris and litter cleanup.
• Picking up and sweeping windblown trash.
• Performing general site cleanup tasks as needed.
• Carrying out various utility tasks as required by operations.
• Learning the operations of the transfer station and adapting to daily changes in duties.
• Spotting trucks as they arrive.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a labor-type position.
• Experience operating equipment is a plus.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout the entire shift.
• Mechanical ability is a plus.
• Ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hour shift.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
