About the position
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roll Off Driver to join our team. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate roll off trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload containers at designated locations, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding job assignments and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and any incidents that occur during operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures while on the job site.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with a focus on roll off trucks or similar heavy vehicles.
- Familiarity with dump trucks, tractor-trailers, rear loader trucks, and manual transmission vehicles is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on the vehicle is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required by the role.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
