The Roof Loader position at MacArthur Co. involves executing operations related to stocking and preparing orders of building materials for distribution. Responsibilities
- Efficiently & accurately organize building materials using a variety of equipment
- Follow daily operations schedule, adjusting to customer needs as necessary
- Work comfortably under close supervision within a stable, secure team
- Help to continually organize and clean both warehouse and yard work areas
- Make decisions within clear guidelines with support from team and management
- Receive support and encouragement from management when working under time pressures or in changing situations
- Learn new work thoroughly with ample time and opportunity for repetitive practice when responsibilities change
- Maintain attention to detail with better-than-average accuracy in quality of work
Requirements
- Patient work style interested in consistency dealing with repetitive routines
- Follow safety expectations set by company safety policies; safety is a priority
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
- Able to operate a forklift
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 80-pound bundles on steep slopes
- Must be able to walk bundles to be placed on different parts of a roof
- Must be okay with heights up to 4 stories high
- Cooperative & agreeable listener who gets along with others and enjoys being helpful
- Ability to work independently while supporting exceptional teamwork in a larger workgroup
- Flexibility to work overtime hours as needed
