About the position

The Project Manager for Roofing & Building Envelope at CTL Engineering will lead and manage projects within the Building Envelope and Roof Engineering division. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver customized assessments and solutions, ensuring optimal performance from concept development to final installation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and building envelope assessments, problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully lead, grow and manage Building Envelope and Roof Engineering Projects.
  • Perform Property Condition Assessments to aid clients in managing facilities assets by examining the building envelope assembly and/or roof structure.
  • Evaluate Roof Structures and Building envelopes including Roof and Building cladding such as Masonry and Curtain walls.
  • Perform water penetration testing and recommend mitigation or repair measures.
  • Predict and diagnose deficiencies related to water intrusion and corrosion mechanisms, understanding codes and technical standards.
  • Develop and monitor construction budgeting and schedules.
  • Work independently on broad projects under the direction of the Department Manager, with training and supervisory responsibilities for direct reports.
  • Manage client development and retention through skill and ability in growing the service market and maintaining relationships.
  • Train, mentor, and develop lesser-experienced team members.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of experience in Building Envelope and Roofing Structure arenas.
  • Experience in Property Condition Assessments, building surveys, testing and analysis, and design for building envelope and roof remediation.
  • Expertise in research and investigation of existing structures with a strong background in forensic evaluation.
  • Experience with performing infrared surveys and nuclear moisture surveys is preferred.
  • Accreditations/licensure: RRO or RRC accreditation, Architecture design experience, or Civil Engineer is a strong plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to become registered as an Engineer or Architect within 2 years if not already registered.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD and Microsoft Office.
