Sage Hospitality Group is seeking a Room Attendant to join the team at Hotel Zetta in San Francisco, California. This position is essential in ensuring that guest rooms are cleaned and prepared to meet established standards of cleanliness and propriety, thereby assuring guest satisfaction and maximizing revenues. Responsibilities

• Retrieves items from shelves and storerooms, sets up cleaning cart with supplies, and maintains carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Cleans and wipes windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways, often using ladders or stools to reach hard-to-reach areas.
• Washes shower walls and tubs, cleans toilets and stall walls, wipes exposed pipes, cleans mirrors, sinks, and walls to ensure sanitary guest and public restrooms.
• Replaces towels, soaps, and all room amenities, restocking literature that has been removed or is soiled and torn.
• Washes all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas.
• Dusts and polishes all furniture, fixtures, and wall hangings, using a duster to reach vents and ceiling corners to remove dust and cobwebs.
• Strips beds of all linen and remakes with fresh linen, checking bedspreads, blankets, and bed pads for cleanliness.
• Lifts mattresses to check for soil between mattresses and under beds.
• Checks closets for cleanliness, wiping closet doors, handles, and overhead shelves, and restocking guest room supplies such as hangers, extra blankets, and pillows.
• Vacuums rooms, public areas, and hallways, operating vacuums weighing up to 25lbs, and lifting/moving heavy furniture to vacuum under furniture and in hard-to-reach areas.
• Inspects all door and window locks to ensure they are in working order and alerts management to any unsecured or unsafe situations.
• Inspects all room equipment (TV, lights/lamps, faucets, radios) to ensure proper working order and reports deficiencies to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Secures and maintains custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times to protect hotel property.
• Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment weighing up to 25lbs.
• Experience in a similar role or environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
