About the position

The Room Attendant position at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel is a part-time role focused on maintaining cleanliness and organization within hotel rooms and bathrooms. The role requires attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to interact positively with guests. The attendant will be responsible for various cleaning tasks and ensuring that supplies are replenished according to hotel procedures.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean hotel rooms and bathrooms according to department procedures.
• Sort, count, fold and/or carry linens for making guest beds.
• Stock housekeeping carts with supplies.
• Replenish supplies in hotel room and bathroom per hotel procedures.
• Dust furniture, wash walls, ceiling and woodwork, wash windows and sills, door panels.
• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to waste disposal area.
• Report any problems immediately to Housekeeping Supervisor or Guest Relations Manager.
• Ensure any lost and found items are turned in to be logged.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Interact with guests on occasion while cleaning guest room.
• Promote outstanding customer relations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position.
• Detail oriented with a professional attitude.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Customer-focused.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
