About the position

The Room Attendant at North Rampart Corporation is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are cleaned and prepared to meet established standards of cleanliness and propriety. This role is crucial in assuring guest satisfaction and maximizing revenues for the hotel. The Room Attendant will maintain the hotel rooms and building, ensuring a safe and clean experience for guests, associates, and vendors alike. The position requires a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization, as well as a friendly demeanor to enhance the guest experience. In this role, the Room Attendant will set up a cleaning cart with necessary supplies and maintain both the carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion to enhance efficiency. Daily tasks include cleaning and wiping windows, doors, walls, closets, and fixtures in guest rooms, public areas, and hallways. The attendant will wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls, and ensure that all restrooms are sanitary by wiping exposed pipes, cleaning mirrors, sinks, and walls. Additionally, the Room Attendant will replace towels, soaps, and all room amenities, restocking literature that has been removed or is soiled to ensure an adequate supply for arriving guests. The role also involves washing hard floor areas, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, stripping beds of linens, and remaking them with fresh linens. The attendant will check closets for cleanliness, wipe closet doors and handles, and restock guest room supplies such as hangers and extra blankets. Vacuuming of rooms, public areas, and hallways is also a key responsibility. The Room Attendant will inspect door and window locks to ensure they are secure and alert management to any unsafe situations. Checking lights and remotes for functionality is also part of the job. The Room Attendant must maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles and use of cleaning products.
  • Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms over head, bending, and stooping.
  • Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and associates.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
