About the position

The Rooms Controller at Silver Legacy is responsible for managing room assignments and serving as a liaison between various departments including housekeeping, VIP services, and front office operations. This role ensures efficient room inventory management and quality guest services, while adhering to the hotel's policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the assignment of rooms and handle inventory and room maintenance.
  • Facilitate guest services including Maximo work orders and Ivy inquiries.
  • Maintain communication with housekeeping, VIP, casino marketing, and other departments.
  • Manage room inventory days in advance and address overbookings or issues with leadership.
  • Complete back-to-back reservation extensions and maintain accuracy in accommodation availability.
  • Adhere to front office operations SOPs and hotel regulations.
  • Maintain a pleasant working environment and be open to feedback from colleagues and management.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions and use computer equipment.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to make decisions and maintain effective working relationships.

Nice-to-haves

  • LMS knowledge is preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field.
