About the position

The Rooms Controller at Travel + Leisure Co. is responsible for managing the hotel's guest room inventory on a day-to-day basis. This role serves as a key liaison among various departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination regarding room status and distribution. The Rooms Controller plays a vital role in maintaining high quality standards and safety protocols while enhancing the guest experience through efficient room management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain the hotel's day-to-day guest room inventory.
  • Act as a liaison between Guest Services, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Reservations departments.
  • Organize room moves and control maximum occupancy days.
  • Supervise upgrades and ensure special reservations are handled properly.
  • Maintain a room pool for early arrivals and special requests.
  • Communicate priority arrivals with relevant departments and resort leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain OSHA standards.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High priority on customer service.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of proper cash handling procedures.
  • Computer proficiency.
